friend's car got broken into 3 times. each time they took subs, amps, deck (even tho you need code to activate), tach. everything was covered under insurance.

worst part is the last time they broke in they even tried to steal his tweeters, couldn't get them out so they just ****ed them up instead. even messed up the door too.

Whenever I park my car I make sure to make the contents of the car are visible especially the hatch so if a thief looks he see's theres nothing to steal. I think this may have saved my *** last night cause when I was walking the dog I noticed a car in my parking lot with stuff scattered all over the place and his airbags were missing. I'm so glad my car doesn't have airbags cause it's very popular for thieves in my neighbourhood to steal these. Then I noticed another car with the door open and everything scattered as well. This happens in Etobicoke all of the time. Punk *** ******.

keep it all OEM and not so flashy, that's the best way. Riced out car are prime targets because they are flashy! Not to say anyone's car is riced, cuz i haven't seen no one's car on this forum. Best bet is to keep it as OEM as possible. It is possible to have a good clean look with OEM parts. But even then you are running a risk. And if you do nothing at all, there are still rusties that will break into your car for the hell of it, alarm or no alarm to see if anything valuable is in it. Thieves are the reason why we can't have nice things. Not just cars.

****ty, i'm sorry to hear that.
My car got broken into when I was in high school, during school hours in the school parking lot. My deck, 2 speakers, 1000W amp, 2 12" subs and all my change stolen.
Theives truly suck, and it sux even more how the cops could care less when it happens because they deal with car break-ins like 5 times a day.

my car got broken into couple month ago and stupid thieves bent the door out with crawlbar took my R floormats, remote controler for deck, and like $15 of change, also they try to take off the neon lights that i had underneeth the feet but they couldn't.

(thing that worries me, lights are no way too be seen under if you already don't know they are there, so i guess it was someone who knows me)
