if the car is branded salvage the vehicle needs a

salvage safety certificate thats what it is called. and its not as easy as you think it is to have it done.

you need
before pics of the car (4 corners)
after pics of the car (4 corners)
4 wheel alignment printout
estimate package given by the insurance
replacement parts reciepts with vin# and invoice number

without any of the above your car is considered garbage and cant be put on the road.

i do this on a weekly basis and to me its simple but i can tell its not easy for someone who has never done it before.

for 1 the amount of money the person has to pay in towing charges alone will be over 3-400 dollars.

moving the car from the house to the shop to fix then to the alignment shop then to th salvage certificate shop then back home

yea its our first project aside from our own cars...and we definatly are gettin in over are heads but we knew it would happen being the first flip. Good thing is i took all the shop classes and made very good freinds with all my teachers and they are more then happy to help me out with any mechanical and bodywork. my old body shop class just upgraded by donation of a shop going out of business so i think im in some good hands. its just a matter of how badly the car was. and thanks jay for the quick summary i need to go take pics of the car. the replacement parts recieptes are they very important?

without the replacement parts reciepts you cant put the car on the road.

this is the most important of them all.
