Cable to Hydro Clutch Conversion
I have a 90 civic cx hatch and i wanna throw in a motor and tranny because it dont have one but they all need hydrolic clutches and i got a cable. How much does it cost to convert my clutch to hydro and is it worth it? Or should i just go with a zc dohc.

I have a CRX with a Turbo'd b16a1. The YS1 is stuck in 5th. I'm looking to upgrade to a S80 from the 98'+ Type-R. Hydro instead of Cable. Question: I found 2 kits: This one, which comes with mounts. And this one from Hasport Hasport How do these kits install? Anyone used, done it before? Do I need a new Transmission mount when switching from Cable to Hydro. The 90' crx has B16 mounts already installed -Brian |
they just bolt on, just when you go you hydro, then then need to add a clutch master cylinder, a hardline, and the clutch slave.

just save your coin and buy something nicer than a 90 cx... **** son

That helps out largely, thank you for your input 'tornado' .
I'm so glad you scrolled through the forum, found this thread, and added your opinion. I bet everyone was wondering, "huh I wonder what 'tornado' thinks about this topic." Well know we all know, thank you. I will be able to sleep much better tonight. Reading your post, I really feel like I accomplished something today. Heck of a man, doing a heck of job... |

I just got off the phone with Hasport, (602) 470-0065.
They offer 2 seperate ways of adding a Hydraulic Transmission. He said you need a new mount because they are different. You'll need bigger holes drilled, not sure where (mount or tranny), because they use a 14mm bolt. And he recommends switching to hydraulic line instead of a cable converstion at the tranny, because the cable lines will/may stretch. And you will need Master cylinder, Slave, Line to Slave and This. Or, there's a conversion this . I know it says D series... Innovative makes a conversion kit of this nature for the B Series & mounts, too. |
