buying honda fit any help?

hey I have a friend that wants to buy the Honda Fit right now, a.s.a.p

he went to the dealership today, didnt get a good enough deal. I was suggesting to him the online quotes where you pay for 5 quotes and you get a reallly nice deal with no hassle and negotiation but hes out of time and needs to purchase the car by this week.

Hes paying full up front cash, so obviously that will knock down the price by a nice amount but it didnt ...so Im not sure how the price is on this car, what deals are people getting?

Was wondering if anyone can give me a hookup, can come by tmr need to basically purchase before friday night, looking for LX model, DX will do, black or the storm silver. Looking for 20 000

According to honda.ca you can get a basic fit for just about $18K with tax. However this isn't including the admin fees, etc., Plus if you want the manual it's another $2.5K

Just remember even if your friend pays on Friday he/she might not get the car until Monday/Tuesday. The dealers would still need to prep, do the safety, and transfer the ownership.

Your friend might have some luck buying outside of toronto/GTA to get a lower price.

why msg MySiR?? what obligation does he have to help in this situation??

tell him to go shop around to all the dealers in sauga or whatever city he's in... tell them he has cash in hand and wants to buy ASAP, and get them to compete for each others business... they will to a point..

going to one dealership will get you nothing

you either put in the time to do the legwork, spend the time and save the money...

OR you pay for the convinience of not shopping around with a higher price...

you can't just ask people to look for a deal for you just because you want it.

im not asking for people to look for a deal, im not asking anyone to go out there to find the hottest deal on the car for me

what im askin if anyone works as a sales, anyone knows a sales person, anyone that can help me get the car discounted if you even read my post this is what i ment,

and if you know, there are sites that can help you get deals without even negotiation...and the price you get will usually be one of the lowest..... no need to go around no need to waste time, just need to wait a few days for replys from dealerships around

Hmm wouldn't you get less of a deal if your paying cash up front? I thought dealers liked when you do financing through them because they atually make more off of you in the long run.

yes he does .. but that doesn'tmean he works at a dealership or in sales at all .. Mark is an engineer. it would be like going to me to get a deal on your Bell Mobility Cell phone... I can't do anything for you....

cash helps with month to month cashflow.

but they still want to make a profit.

just because you have cash, does not mean they will instantly give up their profit, and cash is not necessairly a good barganing tool these days, they just want to move vehicles, and with certain brands/models, if they dont give it to you, someone will take it next week. you are not buying a ferrari, its just a honda
