Listen to these exact words, DO NOT BUY IT.
Its an obvious scam, I actually know a 'crew' of people who actually scam people into sending a 'deposit' or even the full amount of the vehicle through western union or even email money transfer etc.
Watch when you ask him if you can go see it yourself, he'll stop talking to you or make up some bullshit reason why you can't see it.
Try it for fun.

my bro in law had something similar
guy calls him saying he wants his car because its rare (its an 04 civic 4 door with lips and lowered) and to ship it over and he'll send a cheque once received
my bro in law knew it was a scam so was like "okay ill send you pictures and tell you whatever you need to know send a cheque and ill send the car" he shut up after that

it's in autotrader with pics, he open an ebay v.p.p. (vehicle purchase protection) case with moneygram transfer, it state that I make the deposit to moneygram, but the money will not be transfer to him until I see and inspect the car when it arrives from winnipeg. This is the first time hearing about this ebay service, so what should I do?

DID YOU DO AS I SAID AND ASKED HIM IF YOUR BUDDY CAN GO TAKE A LOOK AT THE CAR BEFORE YOU SEND HIM MONEY?
OR ASK HIM TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH A SPECIALIZED NOTE ON THE CAR
Take more precautions then this fake "ebay protection plan bull" USE YOUR BRAIN
ut, if you send this guy money You deserved to get punched in the face for being a dumbfounded dipshit

Why not fly to manitoba and pick the car up yourself then drive it home? That way you would lessen the chance of getting ripped off. And if the deal is that good you would be saving cash. Its only a 2 day drive, 1 if you don't stop to sleep...

I was thinking driving up there, and tow it back but I've been flaked by too many ppl, I've called them before I meet, then 20 minutes later they give me bullshit. I'm not sending anything without thought and research, but a S2000 is too tempting. Thanks for the suggestions.
