a slim jim is a flat peice of sheetmetal with little hooks on it that is inserted inbetween the window and door to gain access to the lock mechanism (little rods inside the door that work the lock and latch), and the slim jim hooks onto the rods and unlocks the door...takes a little bit of skill, but it's easy to get into any car... like when you lock your keys in, that's what they use... virtually no damage to the car...

Like I opened my door... and I was like... hmmm, I'm sure I locked it last night... then I see my glovebox open and stuff from inside it ****** all over the floor and the seats... and I was like... I don't remember doing that... LOL... then it hit me... my isht was broken into .... I reach under the seat... amp is still there... I pop the trunk... sub is still there. only the remote for my deck was gone

I feel your ANGER i have got broken into twice in two years. First time being the worse, they stole my favorite 30 cd's!!!

Like I've said before, I am taking my hockey pool winnings and getting my TCC membership then heading straight to lockdowne and telling the man "HOOK ME UP WITH DAT 2 WAY PAGER!!"...

and then I will never sleep without my pager at my side and a baseball bat at arm's length away and my sneaks in a jump in and go readyness!!!

Update. I got permission to see parts of the surveillance tapes today. Green Intrepid circles my car a couple of times, then parks right beside it. Young punk all thugged out gets out, and kneels down beside the car. Tries a screw driver on the door handle, stands up and pokes the screw driver into the glass. Opens the door, rummages around for a minute or so, gets out, gets into the Intrepid and splits. Took them a total of 4 minutes. No plates on the car, and pictures resolution wasn't good enought to see his face. Took my car to Image Honda this morning to get fixed. New window, tint, weather stripping, door handle, and painting the entire door. Should be done by Friday, and alarm is going in on Monday probably. Thanks for the support guys. Oh, and I got my TCC membership card today!

If you know how the door lock mechanism works, very easy to slimjim.
