well I think you should have a more positive outlook on it then ... if it wasn't your fault then you have the insurance money so you can go out and get a real car..... like a CRX or civic .....

Terry.... how are you man?

I saw that you bought an E30 325is? how is it?
I think that Honda's are great cars !
It's the young punks that give it a bad name/reputation.

How can you say a Honda is a POS?I loved crx's ever since elementary school, and always wanted one, but now I have two !
haha

how are things on maxbimmer?

talk later

Rob..Jon here (cousins account)...IMO..this was THE most dumbest thing u ever have done..sold your ONE OF A KIND M3 for 2 CRX? i mean the yellow one..its really nice, but 2? common....thats going a bit overboard...

so, are u planning on staying on here longer than max? i havent seen one of your posts bad mouthing ppls cars saying to change this and that to your liking otherwise its a gay car...? Maxbimmer couldnt be better right now...the meets are amazing around this time....its perfect footage for my DVD.

Are you still planning on buying that race car for the track without any racing/track experience?

and for the guy who said 2crx > 1 BMW...you havent seen, been or heard what was done to Rob's M3. Therefore you dont know bmw's, and cant say 2 CRX> 1 BMW....all you most likely know is that the M cars are the highest of them all, and that they are expensive. And actually its not true...my bro's 1989 325i will rape rob's crx's in everything...they basically have the same mods...springs/shocks. you cant compare a honda to a BMW...no matter what you do..my friend is pushing 550hp outta his gsr/type-r hybrid turbo motor and it still doesnt compare to my other friends supercharged 1997 M3. its a different class of cars, having different purposes, strengths and weaknesses.....no doubt i love hondas still....nothing will change that.

Jon Jon Jon...........

I'd rather have 2 crx's AND MONEY IN THE BANK,rather than 1 E30 M3. The E30 M3 is a money pit, sure it's a nice car, but I can have just as much fun with a crx, than an E30 M3.....

Plus My yellow crx is in better condition than my M3.
My Red crx is used for daily driving, so I dont have to worry about the Yellow one getting stolen or damaged...

Maybe one day I'll buy a real DTM M3.
But for now, I really enjoy my crx's !

Why was it the dumbest thing he ever done? maybe he likes CRXs better.......we all know a stock CRX isnt the greatest thing.....you have to put some money into it.

You cant compare a BMW to a Honda eh??? kinda an arrogant statement considering the S2000 with its lower pricetag and much less displacement is winning every magazine test with the z3/z4 etc.........of course you cant really compare an m3 to a CRX/civic......its like comparing an M3 to a mclaren F1/Enzo
Ill admit lately honda hasnt really produced anything "good" maybe the type R.......just dont go making statements that nothing can touch a bimmer........13 years ago nothing BMW made could even come close to the NSX and imo the NSX is still an overall better car than the M3 and if the NSX had 400hp like the Z8 has..........i and many others would take the NSX

ok, i knew rob for like 2yrs or a bit less now...and all he talked about was his M3 on other boards. He constantly wanted videos etc....you can tell he loved it to death. Z3 is ****, i admit..i hate that car and it sucks, unless a nice blonde is driving it . I never said a honda cant touch a bimmer..if i did, would i even be here? I am one of FEW on that bimmersite who like hondas, dont put words in my mouth. I was saying a CRX, or even 2 isnt worth an M3.

Rob...money in the bank? not enough sales at honda? i know u dont need money sitting around.

NSX is a great car, but my friend who has a 1995 BMW M3 prefers it over his old NSX. NSX was "torque-less" and didnt feel like a "supercar" as it was named, and you cant drive it anywhere, get a dent and your WHOLE panel gotta come off to be replaced. Its aluminum, its good as like a sunday driver..and thats all its meant for. There are a lot nicer cars than a NSX anyways...at its time BMW couldnt come close in hp ratings, but handling wise M3 was most likely as good...because every M3 has beaten NSX's at the track, the E30, E36 and E46 M3's are all better than 1990-current. Straight line, and handling....the new M3 can hold its own, and keep in front of the NSX no problem.

Overall better than an M3? how so? theres no room the in the NSX, theres no torque, you always have to worry about dents, etc. Maybe when my E36 is ready we'll see whats better....

and Rob, yes...you read right,..E36...i work doing the same thing as vlad...he bought his M3 in one month..all LEGIT money too! haha, AA here i come!!!!!1

haha...yes...you know this car. It was viveks brother Vijay's car.
It has original paint still on it. The car driver very nice, for 262,000 kms. It pulls hard. The best part of teh car is teh underbody. It looks like it's been rustproofed, thanks god.

okay, it's obvious that just as there are Honda fan-boys out there, there are Bimmer fan-boys, and you are one of them.

why not come onto the toronto S2ki forums, there are a few guys on there with e46 m3s, and a few guys who have owned one after the other. the consensus there is that the S2k out handles the E46 M3 and these are guys who tracked and auto-x'd both cars. there are even dedicated threads to this exact topic and a few e46 m3 guys rang in confirming the s2k's track advantage. (s2k is just very lively and difficult to drive at the limit = need skill and experience) but straight line, it's the m3 by far! and i've tracked both the s2k and nsx and the nsx is quite superior. so that would make the nsx 2 degrees of seperation better than the m3...

i don't know what your friend is talking about the nsx being torqueless. the nsx walks all sorts of e36 m3s, except the supercharged ones...regardless of rpm, the nsx makes very good use of it's torque. now e46 m3's are another story, quite fast and the older nsx's might be playing catch up. however, 3.2 6 spd NSX's are running similar if not FASTER 1/4 times at various tracks around the U.S. as compared to E46s, so..fair game. i will agree with you that straight line, the E46 M3 can hold off pre 95 nsxs, but not the 95+ nsxs. most guys running their new nsxs are running in the high 12s stock. older ones are all throughout the 13s. check the nsx forums for confirms.

the NSX is a 2 seat tourer/track car blend. have you sat and driven in one? because there are no rear seats, you can move the seats back all you want and both driver and passenger can have more room than in the M3. try again.

and i have no doubt that BMWs are drivers cars. i used to have an E36 325 which i tricked out a bit. i respect them.
and everyone can't deny the respect that an "M" car is due.

but to put down the CRX is a gross underestimation.

i had 2 CRXs which i tracked, of which i sold one and still have one. a moderately done CRX will trash most cars on the track period. just give it some ***** and a nice suspension setup (of course tires) and it's ultra light weight will out-brake, out corner most cars.

in fact, in Solo events, it's the CRXs and the EF civics which often times hold the FASTEST TRACK LAP TIMES AT SHANNONVILLE on all the circuits. were talking against M3s, Z06s, Porsches, whatever...

i tracked wrxs, bmw's, s2ks, nsxs, tegs, civics, sols, crxs and all told, a modified crx will be the most capable and fun to drive on the track. yes, you have to mod it up, but they are so cheap to begin with that you still will end up way under budget.

the crx is honda's real pocket rocket, and this is not fan-boy talk.

I always wanted to buy a CRX with low KMs and unmodded... however, finding one of those is damn hard.

Of course the NSX will outhandle an M3. It's a supercar. Look at the price. There are reasons the NSX is priced that much. The M3 puts up a really good fight, though.

good arguement, i still think the S2k wont outhandle the M3,...i met some S2ki guys cuz they were at shannonville for the saab driving school, and from my observation they handle REALLY well in the rain....

they handle better than E46 M3? i dunno..maybe responsiveness is better, but have u ever seen those best motoring videos? E46 M3 put down better lap times than S2k

NSX walk on E36 M3? im gonna make a video...ill get my buddy to get his uncles NSX with i think he has an intake and exhaust, and my friend got E36 M3 with intake and exhaust...we'll see who is better..again, im claiming E36 M3...but im not sure, HP wise they are the same, i dunno bout torque, most likely they are, but E36 M3's peak power comes around 6800 or so, and NSX is 7200?

I wish I had found a crx for sale around where I live when I was looking for a car. My civic will have to do at 2x the weight and the same kinda power as a stock crx

Honda is much more bang for yer buck Rob... your M3 was really really nice, I did see it... sick car... but what it comes down to is living within your means... I could buy a BMW, but 1st of all I don't like them, they are old man cars (new ones, older ones are PIMP, but expensive as hell to maintain), and secondly I'd be stretching my budget.

As for where this thread has gone with all these Honda haters here:
