If you just wan't looks, I would say kyb shocks and a used set of h&r springs will run you around $700, maybe a bit more. Then when you save up more cash you can grab a nice set of aftermarket 16" rims (silver) and your car will look really nice

If you want to do a pressure regulator the cheap way all you have to do is take it apart and stretch the spring slightly and you will increase your rail pressure by 3-4 psi. with a stock setup it would probably run too rich though until you get some rpm.

If he only wants looks why on earth would he invest in a nice set of shocks and springs?

The effect is to get low...so if you are only concerned with looks, just cut your stock springs down. FREE

I think its pretty ghetto but hey, if looks is your thing, then ride and comfort is out the window.

Your a cheap hacker! When you do a lowering job do it right the first time, cut the springs, nice advice there moderator! Go ahead cut your springs, have fun with your grasshopper and you better keep a pack of tylenol in your car daily b/c you'll be getting some servere headaches.
IMO, I think the best investement is that....
If you wan't to be a hack like happyb16 then cut your springs and grab rims, have a fun ride
