Best car for $10,000

Seen some with 80km for around 16-17. What are some common problems they have? Is there a certain model I should look for?

Keep in mind other things when buying a car. get insurance quotes, find out what maintence will run you, find out how much gas will run you. Expensive/ sports car tend to cost more afterwards as well

17gs for 350z? that thing must be beated to death or something is wrong with it. I suggest you go look for one in the states, its way cheaper there.
still, i want one so bad.. but i'm not about to pay 4000bucks a year for insurance. i'm 26 with a full G license, with a clean record no speeding or accidents too.

My cousin had the 03, he had some issues with rear suspension, and nissan is known for engines and not trannies, so it's not bad but maybe some of the first ones had tranny problems too, i wouldn't count that out, i have owned several nissans and the new first models tend to have tranny issues but are 90% fixed by the second year, and perfect by the third.

i would not put my money into any 350 Z costing less then $25,000 even if it had 130 k at that price i would rather buy that then a 17k with 80k, because i know many people bought those cars the same time tokyo drift came out and the drift scene became huge, and everyone i new drifted the s,hit out of them, and many got into accidents.
when it comes to nissan, you get good deals but don't use the same formula for the Z, they may look pretty but may have been raped from the inside.
as for your insurance problems i had the same, you have to phone few people, my father phoned one guy who got us 10 companies and we choose the one the best fit us, and my insurance went
from
$356 RBC
G licence, under 25
1 over 40kmh speeding ticket
1 Accident
to
$145 .........
Same info.
now im laughing all the way to my garage.lol
now i don't have to worry about what car i buy, i can get something sporty.
oh, and my parents went from $200/$140
to $80/$35 lol. fkn insane.

This one is good, offer him $7000-7500 and spend the remaining $2500 to finish it up:

Dumb choice if you're on a budget. Service and repairs will be expensive as hell, and with it being considered a performance car AND also being at or near the top of the list of most-frequently stolen cars, insurance will also be expensive.

i looked REALLY heavily into the rx7, but honestly, they are terrible cars. They are expensive as hell to repair (parts and labour). Parts are hard to come by, need to normally order them. Motor's are hit or miss. If its solid, its great. if its not, might as well start saving up for the next repair

insurance wasnt too bad when I was looking at them...in fact it was cheaper than the civic I was driving at the time

Honda's aren't always that cheap for FULL insurance coverage either, so saying the WRX is cheaper isn't necessarily saying much.
By the way, it was much cheaper for me to get coverage on a 10 year old Mercedes 500SL convertible than it was for a 10 year old Honda sedan. Go figure...
While on topic, you can get a 1992 to 1994 500SL in good shape for under $10,000. You'll have to buy south of the border though.

btw sat in those new rsx's the 05 type, i just realised today that they are fkn sexy as hell, my friend had the blue one and it was lowered perfect, the rubber didnt tuck in but the over all look was smooth, and low, and it was amazing.

03 RSX base
The problem is I like them both equally, lol. But, the RSX should get better gas mileage so I'll probably end up getting that.
