What ever happens, good luck to your build. I for sure can't work under a budget because the price for new parts as well used parts are always changing, and one man's budget is and will be completely different from another. Used parts deal might be a one time thing, just because a guy who bought a complete ITR swap for 2500 dollars does not mean every Joe Blow will be getting that price from now on, and it should definitely not be a guideline as far as how much an ITR engine should cost.

But either way, call around (I am sure you have) and see if the quotes will add up to 8000.

although the consencous seems to be h22 are bad for boost stock, there is a guy on TPC who has run a JRSC at like 8psi or so for over 2 yrs with no problems. Netted him like 260 whp with good tuning. No problems, but for every one that works, there is a bunch that fail.

If you are planning to go boost your wasting your time with the H22, all that extra work, might as well go turbo GSR

no gsr turbo for me, like i said i wanna be diff and have something a bit diff then most ppl, and going turbo gsr definatly isnt that......im just trying to figure out if there would be clearance issues with the firewall on a jackson racing s/c on a h22 in a eg, my buddies ran this s/c on his 99 prelude for years now, almost since the car was new, it only dynoed something like 249rwhp but still that would be pretty fast in a eg, not to mention the torque which is another reason id rather go h22 then say a gsr etc

you said the shop you get your work done at doesnt do to much work on imports, so maybe get a b series or go with a supercharger, just in case your engine explodes.....
