If you want a hacker of a car your probably looking at 10ish but if your looking at something done 100% right and mint then around the 12-13 range

lol ya never know.......worth a shot, im just amazed at how cheap they r......there comparable to a b16 motor wise, i just know the swap itself is a pita and thats where the cost diff comes into play, but still who wants 160hp when u can have 200 and some torque?

i was going to say if you wanted to be different and had a budget of $8k go with a k-series.
Do you know why there isn't a demand for h22's anymore?...lol
Anyone who's done an H22 swap before will tell you that your prices aren't really realistic.
IMO if you wanna boost go with a b18b. With your budget you could put a reliable, powerful, nicely tuned turbo setup on a b18b including the price of the b18b swap, if you do the work yourself.
You could run 10-12 psi all day long if it was tuned real good. Then there's always the option of building/rebuilding the bottom end so it could take more boost for about another $2-3K.

TRY boosting an H22 for 8 g's including swap and boost.... lets see how long it will last or it can even be done....

realistically speaking... even if you custom eveyrthing, and do the work/install yourself, like i did... ur looking at 3-4 g's for a reliable turbo setup..and thats still without extensive tuning.

let alone, he has to change many parts to make sure that motor is up to the job of being boosted.. ie. timing belt, water pump, cap/rotor, plugs, clutch, and a pair of really good driveshafts... people break the shafts on stock h22's in civics alone, now boosted..thats another thing.

depends how much power he wants, he can safely build a 300 whp and a lot of torque from a d series... and i mean full internals, sleaves, etc..
but remember, its all about the tuning, i've seen boosted h22's blow up at only 7 psi because of bad tuning. expect to pay in the area of 750-1200 for really good tuning.

Yea, B18B is best for boost, torque too or even slevee and rebuild a B20B.

I've seen nothing but H22A go boom when boosted unless resleveed and rebuilt.

Actually the f22a is the best honda motor to turbocharge (90-93 accord engines)

Anything boosted is sweeet but it does need a bit more attention than a N/A set up...

Yeah 4g's sounds about right for a nice reliable set up and 5-7 psi max for stock h22's more than enuf pwr to keep you happy in a very light car....

a guy in windsor has a 6th gen coupe H22 turbo, his engine blew while on the dyno at 5 psi, so he had to have it built, hes making 400 whp now but he also has over $15000 in the engine alone. your budget is weak.
