Automotive Import Market is a RIP OFF!!
Dont goto AIM-Automotive Import Market(on Denison Rd. in Markham) unless you want to get ripped off!!
My friend bought some rims off the guy, and has now discovered that the rims have all these major rash marks all over the silver lips of all the rims.
The day he bought them he also noticed silver paint coming off the rims, but he wasnt sure what they had done. He tried to return them but they guy wont take them back saying they were for a special sale price.
No wonder they kept us waiting for 5 HOURS!!!!While they were supposidly mounting and balancing, WE WERE ACTUALLY WAITING FOR THE PAINT TO DRY!!!! I know for a fact it doesnt take that long, when we were the only ones getting wheels.
What a bastard.....

We did see the rims before buying them. He must of switched them around while in the back....I knew something was up when he would also not let us in the back to watch, at any cost.
If the rims he gave us were in mint condition, it would've been a good deal. But after the cover-up paint wears off, all you have is crap and the feeling of being RIPPED OFF!
The "heads up" on my friends experience is just so none of you have to go through the same.

i bought my kumhos from them last year
nothing but courtesy the whole way
and my tires had to be shipped from montreal cuz of their oddball 185-55-14 size too.
if hte price is too good to be true for rims, then questions shoulda been asked

Only so many questions can be asked. If the place is shady they will always find a way to evade ur questions.
Obviously they're aware of what they're doing so they're gonna be courteous to make u more willing to buy... Courtesy is nothing when the product quality is less than what u pay for. He gave us free t-shirts for our 5 hour wait....Thanks for the courtesy but, "Keep ur AIM garbage t-shirts, I'd rather get what I pay for!"
Only takes one experience like this, to take my bizzness elsewhere.

Just to let you know.......I remember awhile back....(City TV).....that there was a chopshop/dealer that got busted for dealing in stolen VW parts. Remember that? Up near Hwy #7 + ???
Turns out the owner of the shop that got busted, was the brother of the owner that owns AIM. (that's what I understood from the news story). I think the shop was called Haymen Motors.
They do have good deals, but as in any "good" deal......Buyer beware.

I don't its the its the shop my friend its the brand of rims. What kind of rims were they? you failed to tell us. Lots of rims are painted and have coatings on them. I personally have konig flatlines, and they have a painted coating on them and they still look brand new.

Should of bought **** from ppl you don't know and won't let you go to the back... I am sorry about your experience, I too have experienced tons of the same situation as you. Nothing you can do but laugh at the ppl that are in the same situation as you.
That's why I get all my stuff from our affliates, at least they have warranties and will try to find you the lowest prices.

Thanks for the backround info. I think we'll look into that SILVERMAN help too.
hfisher I really doubt the rims were shipped to the shop like that. And most silver lips are machined, and not painted. The rims were Enkei. Which in my experience have always been quality...It was definately the shop being shaday.
EK7 it was a lesson learned. Hopefully everyone will learn from this aswell.
