Anyone a member of the TD Visa Gold Standard Auto Club? If so, how is the service?

What does everyone else "use"?

I didn't know that TD Visa even offered such a service! The prices are slightly cheaper than CAA, but it looks like you don't get as much as you do get with CAA as well.

I use CAA and am happy with the service that I have received when I've had to call them.

CAA Plus is where it's at. I got my car towed from London to Toronto for no extra charge.

I got CAA plus, not only are they great, but I fill up at Sunoco for both my car and van, 2% of that goes towards my renewal. One year I payed 11 bucks to renew my membership!

That's for everyone, it works like getting petro points or airmiles, instead this works towards your renewal. Everytime you make a purchase at Sunoco, get them to swipe your CAA card. 2% goes towards your renewal. They use to do it at Speedy as well. I believe there are other places you can do this as well, not sure but check there website. But in order to make it beneficial, you gotta practice going to Sunoco unless you can't find one. Hey, you have to put gas in the car anyways right? Last year I think my renewal cost me 73 dollars, when the it should cost me 153. I have my wife as secondary and having CAA plus it cost a little more, but I also get towed up to 200 km, that was the main reason, as I was going to Montreal a lot when I was single.

Here is the breakdown. Sorry, its 1% but 2% if you use Ultra gas, so far I have 34 dollars accumulated, I renew in August:

How much will I earn when I "swipe" my CAA Membership Card at Sunoco, UPI, and FS stations?
You’ll earn:

1+% in CAA Dollars on regular gasoline at Sunoco, UPI, and FS. CAA Dollars earned increases to 2% after total annual household Sunoco purchases or total annual household UPI and FS purchases of regular gasoline exceeds $1,200.

2% in CAA Dollars on Ultra 94, Plus, Supreme and Gold Diesel fuels at Sunoco and Ultra 94, Premium and Midgrade fuels at UPI and FS stations.

3% in CAA Dollars at Sunoco Car Washes and on eligible Sunoco merchandise.

What can I purchase with my CAA Dollars?

You can use your earned CAA Dollars to purchase your CAA Membership renewal, your next CAA Vacation, a set of luggage, travel books, safety kits…and much more!
