ATTN: Possible Car Theives

I went to a shopping mall today and I know most of security at the mall because my brother is a cop, so they put a camera on my car while I was there. Two white guys in a 1995-1999 Blue Neon 2 door, L/P - AHJC 734, hop out there car and took pictures and were checking my whole car. My buddies approached them but they took off. Anyways, the coppers were called and said they would pick them up. I got the tape of everything they did and even a shot of the license plate. Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know.

you won't say what mall but you gave us the plates.
so you are saying that its in the west and you won't help any of us honda owners out by warning us about the specific mall. my dad is a cop i will have the plates run and probally find out some of my own info. I will say on thing, i have heard of insurance companys send there own investigaters to check out cars to make sure they are not being screewed for money, see if you mod your car do not tell them they will not cover the mods only cover what the car came with i.e stock so see they go out take pics call the customer into the office and ask them if they want this stuff coverd. So do not go asuming they where car thieves until you get all the info, because what you posted just branded who ever has these plates as a thief.

you've got the plate

I've done this many times:

Using the license plate you've posted, you can go online to our Ministry of Transportation and perform a Vehicle Abstract - Vehicle History. I think that you can also do these at Vehicle Driver license offices too.

They cost $12 each.

Here is the link.

http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/catalogue.htm

The most useful stuff you'll get from someones plate is the registered owner's full name and city.

So, if the owner was i.e., Mark Lee, in Scarborough Ontario, that would not really help you at all (there are too many Mark Lee's).

BUT if the owner had a unique name, then you would be one step closer... use the phonebook and narrow it down even more to get an address and number.

What sucks - maybe the registered owner is the punk's uncle or mother or someone innocent and unrelated...

*Use this info wisely and don't make a fool of yourself.*

Guys that work with insurance companies would not have bolted in a hurry when they saw security.

Another mall worth checking out is Hillcrest in Richmonhill (Yonge.14th) My girlfirend works out at the gym there and cars are stolen every week. She walks there from work now since she is afraid of something happening to her car.
