It IS a good idea if you happen to drive your car to some friend's place and didn't plan on drinking or go to a party and didn't plan on drinking... BUT you end up drinking after all. Also, it just so happens that your friend doesn't live in the best area of town... you don't want to crash there, because for some reason you've gotta get home or you're worried about your car being stolen, broken into or vandalized and don't wanna leave it there all night.

There's always some reason that ppl decide to drink and drive, and I believe 'keys please' is good idea for worst case scenarios. And, the cost of having this service provided isn't anywhere near the cost of fatalities, etc involved with drinking and driving. It's nice to know that this service is available.

i think it would be a good idea if very special ocasation, for exmp:
your not planning to drink so u take ur car and u end up drinking and u have to got to work early tommorow so u have to go home with ur car!!!! how about that????

its kinda like what we have in Ottawa....there is a program called Operation Red Nose....same deal as KP but there is no fee....you are just asked to tip whatever you feel is fair...
