the 99-00 EM1 USDM SIR lip is different than the 96-97 JDM EK4 SIR lip. though they had close resemblance but they are not the same.
tip: EK4 was a hatch (SIR) in 96-97, was not sold at all in 98 and was offered as a sedan in 99 (the revised shape)

The Lip posted in the links above is the JDM EK4 SiR front lip, This is the only other OEM lip Offered for the 96-98 Front bumper. The other is the JDM EK9 Type R Lip. You see 96-98 JDM EK9 Type R all color matched moldings/skirts/Lips/side mirrors with all Type R Interior and B16B motor yay! Then you have JDM EK4 SiR Civic(I assume Szuberi done his research and it only available 96-97 and not 98) Where moldings are not color matched, comes w/ mudguards guess they are optional AND they have the Bumpers w/ the moldings on them, Sporting the JDM B16A motor, and this EK4 SIR Front Lip.
This EK4 SIR Front lip is made of Urethane so it is prone to Cracking but not prone to scrapes. This lip since its OEM uses OEM Installing hardware and mounting points For Flawless installation and easy un-installation for the winter months.
Dont settle for a replica of this lip, its not worth it.

and for the record, it's not mad JDM only as most homos assume. it was actually an option underbody spoiler offered in the USA. I bought my lip before all the JDM fanboys snached them up, and I bought it directly at a Honda dealership in the US for a mere $90 USD. don't bother looking, all the US stock has been sold out for many years now.

Not quite, there is a guy selling them on E-bay, I have looked into it already, and thinking about getting one, not completly sure yet.
