Anybody get ripped off Friday night?

I parked my 90 civic hatch on Spadina at Queen on Friday for 2 hours. When I got back I noticed my glove box open along with my ashtray open. I didn't think anything of it then when I attached my face plate no bass was coming out of the sub.........I turned around and noticed that the sub in which I built myself was no longer there. Punked!!!!!! My room mate was parked across the street and got broken into as well (also owns a Civic). This happened at around 10 o clock at night. The ******* nerve. I bet I'm not alone on this one.

.... And this is why I don't invest a lot of money on car stereo. I just know that it would sooner or later get stolen.

I had my stereo stolen twice in that area. 1st time was my mistake to leave face plate attached, so they took the whole things...

2nd time I thought it would be safe with the face plate detached...but they decided to take it anyway... also bunch of my Mini-discs, CDs got stolen...

Darn theives! :fustrated

BTW, I also drive a 4th Gen Civic...I heard they are one of the easiest car to be broken into!

All Civics and Integras are easy to break into. I've broken into my own car (locked the keys in) not hard at all.

Does anyone know how much one of those pager type alarms cost? Seems like the way to go.

The answer is...

A SECURE GARAGE!!!!

If not layers of protection club or equivalent/ign cutoff/pump cutoff/alarm/removal of sparkplug wires/big dog.

I can also tell you that there is no defense against a good tow truck driver.

Talk to PULOVR about COMPUSTAR'S..

I had my stereo stolen once by my own boyfriend!!! ....Long story!----needless to say he's my ex now.
I've noticed trends with car stereo stealing, you have to think winters coming soon, no one wants to steal a car stereo in the bitter cold and no one buys much of anything for their cars in the winter so that equals no money for the stealer. So I think what there doing is trying to make enough money now to support their habits or whatever the hell they do over the winter. Just a thought!

It's time for us Civic owners to be vigilanties like Charles Bronsen and take action and rid our streets of the filth that steal our ****.
