why would you want a cage put in?

I also want a cage, but pre-fabbed, like Cusco or Autopower. Shipping on that isht is insane though And prolly not this winter anyways.

My winter plans include letting the car rest until April. I prolly won't touch a thing till then. I'll likely still pick up parts here and there.

and coreyhayman, I really don't think you should put "The Punisher" on your decklid. That's kinda ghay. I like the 5.0 idea though, but just don't put the punisher anywhere on it. I mean, what are you 7 years old?

^ its the cars nickname...the previous owner called it that and i like it and alot of ppl know the car by that name who have seen it at the track...it b gay if it was some 100hp cavalier but its a big beasty, air polluting muscle car so i think it suits it..my buddyat work is gonna do all the airbrushing for free sicne he does it for a extra source of income. im gonna get my helemt for the track done as well with the punisher skull on it....so any of u performance orriented guys got a goal for next seaon?.....like track wise?....myself i wanna get this thing into the low to flat 10 second margin and make it a bit faster cuzz i need to go faster....lol

I mean, I can drive with a cracked mirror since January, I can keep going it for another couple years no problem. Who gives a shyt. :P

I think the car is ready for a power upgrade. We will see.
hey man.. it's all good, you're not an idiot.. if YOU'RE an idiot than I'm a complete dummy... you don't even wanna know how much $ I've spent on my car since day 1... it's time for me to stop for a bit... but I'm proud of my car, and you should be proud of yours too.. as long as you're happy, then there should be no regrets right?

Ed, I keep a little excel file on the side to record my car total data - parts divided into sections, how much for each part, maintenance cost, parts I have sold and whatnot. It is some scary figure. But I think must be less than what you have spent so far.

-----

As for myself, the car will be doing more track event next spring/summer. Drag racing isn't my style, but props for folks who can brake into that barrier.

Bruno, I suggest you not to buy Cusco 6 pt roll cage. That thing is useless (maybe useless isn't the right word to use, but weak). Autopower might be a better choice. But I still think with all the money you can save on shipping and whatnot, a fabricated cage to your own spec will be better (material, diameter, # of points and design).

^ Yea, I argee with you on the pre-fabbed cages Charles.

I plan to sell the Prelude before the snow hits, if I finish the paint...I'm lazy though.
Save for a new ride for next fall to get me to and from school (I hate the fawking train crap I'm going through). Won't be till August though. My tickets are gone then and my insurance should drop to a livable level.

I cant wait till i'm where some of you guys are , finally having a car to the point where you can actually say .. " well its never really done , but it's done" I got a stock SiR to start on , So i'm still 2 years minimum away from that.

Well for once the car is going away for the winter, too much money into the car to drive it like a beater in the salt.

Less than 1500K on my swap this year as I completed it very late in the season which kinda sucks. Mods for the winter are little, maybe a master cylinder change and some SS lines in order to prepare for a big brake setup as I will just be accquiring parts for mods in the spring. Cams, springs, Ti-retainers etc. In the spring, i want to P&P the head, intake and get a larger throttle body.

The scary part is thinking how much money I've spent already and what other cars(and motorcycles!!) I could have had. But i guess that's half the fun.

I've been in Phil's T-Type (not a GN but it's the same car). It's quick.

I'm a muscle car guy just couldn't keep the one I had.

Add me to your msn or ICQ if you got it man, my info is in my profile.
