another stolen ITR
Hello guys!
Very close friend of mine got his ITR stolen very early in the morning today. He parked his car in his underground parking spot in his condo around 11 pm last night. He woke up this morning to go to work, went down to get his car and found out the car was gone. No sign of break in at all. He couldn't find any shattered glass around. He reported to the police and his insurance company immediately. The officer was not surprised at all after he knew it was ITR stolen. My friend asked the condo management to review the security camera. Unfortunately, they did not have any camera installed on his parking level. They only had few cameras around the parking entrance. Anyway, they found his car on the tape, and it was a short footage of the thief driving away. We couldn't see his face on the video.
My friend recently got viper alarm system installed from audio heaven few months ago, but that couldn't stop this from happening. I am just so surprised that the theif could just break into the car without smashing the window and drive away like it's his car. I heard many stories with car being stolen around residential area with flatbed tow truck, but my friend's car was stolen from his condo building and with not tow truck what so ever.
I just wanted to share this with you and maybe raise a little caution on this matter. I am sure this kind of topic was coverd many many times. From what I heard, if you buy any stolen goods, and if the authority tracks down the goods and get to you, they can just take away all the stolen goods without any compensation. You might be charged as well. (I am not sure about this though)
So, be careful buying used parts. His car had JDM front conversion, 2000 gunmetal ITR rims. The car was white not yellow.

. Ofcourse they can get away with it if they really want to , but most of these thiefs are just young punks .
Plus most of these alarms nowdays would indicate you if someone broke into your car. I remember my friend had an alarm that vibrate it if that alarm went off.

Sorry to hear that man, I had my Integra stolen 3 years ago, its brutal. You are most likely going to get it back in pieces - or worst off, just find the shell somewhere.
Did you have a kill switch or two wired up? After my 94 Integra RS got stolen 3 years ago I wired one up. It kills the power to the fuel pump thus making the engine inoperable.
A kill switch is one of the simplest tools for defeating even the most determined car thief - that is unless he finds the switch. However, what you can do is wire up multiple switches, that must be engaged in a sequence (certain ones 'off' while others 'on') and thus you have a back-up system if he finds the first one.
You can also hide 'dead' kill switches that do nothing at all, just to throw off a potential thief if he cannot get the engine to start. Eg. Hide one in plain sight in the glove box, another inside the front arm-rest, just make sure the wires are secured somewhere so he doesn't just rip it out and see that its not wired to anything.
Check out http://www.team-integra.net, there is a ton of info on how to protect your Integra (and any other Honda/car for that matter).

Hey man i know your friends pain! My SiR got stolen about 3 years ago now... Like was mentioned above it just sucks to know you cant own one of these cars and park it with piece of mind. The cops are useless when finding these cars... once the cop found out my car was a civic SiR he chuckled... and i never did get it back.. together or in pieces.

80% of thiefs would not take the car if the alarm goes off.
. Ofcourse they can get away with it if they really want to , but most of these thiefs are just young punks .
