Aluminum and Stainless welding ?

They make flux cored wire for steel and such

but does anyone know if they make it for aluminum and stainless...

ive searched a bit and came up less then short.

Im talking about MIG welding as well...wire fed gun

i don't think so. pretty sure you need some form of sheilding gas for alum. for aluminum wire welding you need a spool gun, or a high end mig that has a special teflon lined whip so the aluminum won't clog it up. needless to say, it takes some tinkering to get the welds looking even half way decent. you are better off going the tig route with aluminum. for stainless, i can't say for sure if they make flux core wire or not... i don't think so. you would probably want a 409 wire with some shielding gas. again, it is probably more ideal to go with tig.

what are you welding? or are you planning on purchasing a welder? if you bring your helmet down to my shop i can give you a quick tig lesson in ms, ss and alum.
