Alarms

After reading about car alarms saving people's butts I thought I'd ask out of curiosity where everyone has their alarm blinking light, is it somewhere visible to warn off potential break-ins? Or do you have it hidden for the element of surprise.
Mine is visible, thought about hiding it, but didn't.
Definitely going to rethink that in the next car.

my led light is visible to all

it should be visible for others to see and know that you have an alarm no?

yeah... my light is very visible. I don't want people thinking I have no alarm and smashing my window.

True, but the flip side of not seeing it, is the element of surprise.
If they see it, they'll know they have to kill it quick and if they're real good, they will.
But if they don't expect it, smash a window and the alarm goes off, there's a real good chance they'll panic.

Light visible. 1 is mounted in the a-pillar and one near my shifter boot in my other car.

I prefer the a-pillar.

I rather the criminal be deterred before smashing a window and hearing a siren.
