The price range on these tools are astronomical. Like, you can easily pay 500+ USD on a impact wrench or paint gun.
Im picking up a used Devilbiss Portable Air Compressor for around 350, its a 20 gallon, 5hp model i spoke of eariler. So obvioussly its not a top of the line compressor, therefore i shouldnt need to match it with top of the line tools..

so what if your picking up a cheaper air compressor, SCFM are all the same. If you picked up a $1000 air compressor that did 6SCFM and one that cost $300 and did 6SCFM there would be no diff, just how long the units would last and what kinda duty they were meant to be under, also 230 volt models are alot pricier, but will draw less amperage than the same 115v models.
If you pick up a cheap air compressor, dont skimp on tools, trust me you will regret it. Even if you can afford 1 or 2 tools now buy them, instead of buying all cheap tools.

dont we all, dont we all lol
I used to buy crappy tools then I learned and only buy good tools on sale, or wait and buy them along the way and not buy a bunch of crappy tools at once... it makes a world of a difference

But you know what, you can assume more expensive tools = better tools.
Obviously on average, it does, but ive boughten alot of tools that for the price i paid, i defintely got my moneys worth.
18V jobmate cordless drill , ~70bucks, 3 yrs of use at least once a week. Hundreds of battery charges, and the thing still works as good as day one.
Mastercraft 49 dollar dremel, 3 yrs of use, still rock solid.
and dozens more tools, still no problems. Nothing lasts forever, so you just have to find the middle ground

Matt's on the money - try not to cheap too much out on tools. There is nothing more annoying than working on your car on a Sunday afternoon, and having the tool pack it in, and the stores are closed and you need your car for work on Monday morning...

well here's how it all went down.
i went with a 5hp 26gal campbell hausfeld and a nice mastercraft impact gun. rated at 400ft/lb tq, also, CH 50ft hose and a CH connector kit, and mastercraft metric impact socket set. But its only 11-24mm's.. that sucks, no 10mm
got some really good deals, and cant wait to start puttin them to use

I have not used any of the mastercraft stuff, but it looks like any of the other brands out there... stay away from Coleman tools, they suck. I bought that kit from walmart and none of the tools work worth a damn, except the air chisel.
Do it right the first time, buy as big as your budget will allow and plan for more torque in an impact wrench then you think you will need. 800 ft/lbs + will do about everything.
Twin Hammer is nice to get as well. Buy better names like Ingersoll Rand, Chicago Pneumatic etc.

good job on the buy
those mastercraft tools look exactly like the CH counterparts, which can be good and bad. I find CH tools to be hit or miss, either you get a really good one or you get a dud... either way good buy
