Is it rusted badly?

Try to find all of the odd noises coming from it and get rid of them. Change your tranny fluid, coolant, brake fluid, rotors/pads, etc...Just give a good $500 tune up.

I hope you know how to work on cars or are willing to learn. Otherwise, this may be abit of a pain to own for the first little while.

Anyways, start with reviving the old thing and then take it from there. Just remember to buy QUALITY parts so you don't end up going back and replacing or upgrading them in the future.

Good to start here and research for the types of things that you want.
Once you have this done become a PAID member and enjoy our affiliates for discounts... actually maybe you should do this first! Parts discounts!

Thanks, you guys are awesome...

The body itself is in tip top shape. The glass is good. The tires are good. The body itself is good minus MINOR MINOR car cancer on the rear quarter panel.

I'm also from Yukon. Well, officially now I guess I am. I just moved here from Brampton in May. So getting stuff off TCC is going to be very tight. There is a performance store here in Whitehorse, but not compared to GTA.

I think that's what I'll do. Not do anything extra to the car until I get the kinks out. And like some of you guys said the car is old. Yeah, the body might be 15 years old. But it still has a lot of life left. I'm definately keeping the body for a while and I'll swap the motor eventually for something better.

I have this Civic now for like 3 days, and I'm more in love with it... so I don't see me hating it anytime soon... unless it atually puts a hole in my wallet...

there is only one way to do an old car, any old car. from the ground up!

1. body work
2. suspension
2a. brakes
3. drivetrain
4. interior
5. weatherstripping and mouldings

strip the car entirely, have it media blasted, and build it from the ground up.

Trucks are no fun when there's no snow.... When the snow rolls in I will use the snow mobile...

Whitehorse is the big city, so it's the same as Vaughan, Brampton, Mississauga, etc... Just the population is less and Beer is brewed right downtown... and it's actually GOOD beer too!!

mmmm... Chilkoot!!!!!!
