99-00 power door locks
 

hey guys, anyone with a 99-00 si or sir can help me out...


im trying to figure out if my new doors work,

for some reason the switch wont lock the doors, i have to manually do it, either with the key or the flipper tab thing, is this normal?

like when i do it manually it auto locks the passenger side, which is cool...

but should i be able to use the power switch too to lock them? something doesnt seem right..

reason im worried is cuz if it wont power lock the driver side, then how will keyless entry work...

of btw, i know its the worn forum, but noone seems to be browsing interior, and i want this figured out asap so i can close up the door panal

yes the switch should work to lock/unlock both doors

When you are inside the car and close the doors ... the power doors switch will lock both doors.
If you open the drivers door and try to do the same, it will only lock the passenger but not drivers....reason why: i think this is a safety thing from HONDA

now the trick: pull the door handle (as if you were to open the door) and HOLD it, while holding it flick the switch to lock both doors...that will work

Aren't all Honda like that?

You can't lock the driverside door with it being open.
At least my EF and my 00 SiR, and 02 SiR are like that.

Yeah your keyless should lock and unlock both doors.
Press the lock button both doors should lock.
Press the unlock button once and the driver side door unlocks & twice for both doors.

Now only if it had a power trunk. (I wish)
