i am asking $3600 for my 90 teg with some mods but doesnt seem he cares or knows what those are, he said he bought it for his daughter but she didnt want it... now what my question is is that a good deal to trade, anything i should know about those talons... and one more thing the talon was manufactured may 1992 for some engine problems that i have read have...
can someone guide or help out and let me know thanks...

90-91 Talons had the best Tranny i believe for that car, while the 92-94 had a stronger bottom end.
once they got into the 95-96, the engine got more **** and inproved somewhat in 97.... 98 became the better one!
my buddy has a Talon.. a 90 and a 98.
his 90 is faster then his 98....
be careful... b/c if u aint familiar with Turbo's u gonna run into alot of trouble, but those cars are extremely fast and expremely expensive...

if it's a 92 awd talon than it might have the 6/4 combo which is the strongest rear lsd dif and best motor....I'd take it..1000 bux in mods for a awd 1G talon and your into the 13's easy, **** 300 bux in mods and your almost in the 13's...say hello to 1.7 60 foot times...jsut get it looked at...they require alot of upkeep and checking over everythign all the time btu arent' as bad as peoepl make them out to be...only if peopel launch them at 7000 rpm's and side step the clutch... check out www.dsmtalk.com

It's very uncommon for 1g engines to crankwalk. The 2gs had it happen more because mitsu cut cost on the engine.
The trannys can't hold up to a lot of hp and high rpm launches (7000rpm drag strip launches will destroy em).

i wouldnt launch at 7k rpm...that so ****** dumb askin for things to bust ...
and its a FWD not AWD...but i will get it checked out...and if all turns well..ill take it...and jus drive it like that for a while..
so 6 bolt has no crankwalk and 7 bolt from 95+ does is that correct?

the first generation DSM cars were nicknamed "bullet proof" cause of their strong engine...
I know someone who has a TSI. He loves it. No real problems with the car yet for him neither, just get ready to become an expert mechanic though cause although the engine is strong and last long it takes a lot of daily maintenance.
And are you sure its not a AWD? I thought TSI's only came in AWD.
