due to a transport truck who was in front of me driving, his rear tire blew up and smashed up my front bumper on the highway. luckily it didn't hit my winshield. anyway i was wondering if i can directley bolt on a 91 crx bumper on to my car while my bumper is getting painted. i have a stock 91 bumper from my brothers car, i know the signals are different size but im sure i can get one screw to hold it in and i can make something to hold it in for the meanwhle but i was wondering if the dimensions will bolt right on or if it's possible to put it on. if not does anyoe have any lying around that i can borrow for a couple days or so. thanx for the help

the bumpers from 88-89 and 90-91 are interchangeable.
they all bolt on the same way and fit perfectly fine.

Actually.. the front end pieces are slightly different between CRX and Civic.. Right where the corner light and the front bumper meet.. they're different.. Take closer look.. one is wider than the other.. Also.. Civic have a filler piece under the headlight.. Meanwhile the CRX doesn't.

oops i should have read his post more carefully! i thought he was wondering about his civic(which he doesnt have, it's a crx! OHHHH i see). and so i thought the question was "can i put a 90 civic bumper on my 88 civic"

i never called the insurance company b/c i will be paying more deductable than the damage is worth. i used to work for a body shop so im getting it repainted for really cheap. it's just that i don't want to drive around with no bumper and get harrased by cops.
im not sure i am going to make duct tape touch a brand new paint paintjob.
