miatas are so much better...throw in a nice suspension and roll bar and you're good to go...handle like a dream, RWD...hell toss a supercharger on it and u got a nice fun to drive car...too many crx are crap now and when u find a good one people wanna bend u over for it

hahhahaa, thats ridiculous... i dunno who would go through all that trouble when you could just build the motor or start with a speed and just boost and spray the hell out of it... for 12.8sec in the 1/4 mile... plus, who the hell in their right mind would use a ford engine in a mazda... do you guys even know what happens when an american tries to **** a japanese girl? lol.

The Ford 302 is a bullitt-proof motor. Its the B16 of domestics. It could easily make a ton of power and torque with basic bolt-ons you can buy right out of the Ford Motorsports catalogue. A Miata with a built 302 would be an absolute beast.

for those that can't imagine a ford motor in a miata... what else would you expect? ford owns most of mazda... even the mazda3/focus can fit a mustang motor...

Older B6 Miata w Greddy kit @ 5-6psi FTW. Add an IC, fuel and timing, 8-10 psi all day long and nothing but grins. With a built bottom end 15psi ++

Dead easy to wrench on and less than 2000 lbs

With a 91 beware of the short nose crank engines. http://www.miata.net/garage/crankshaft.html

Engines are cheap and available everywhere if you blow em up. Can drop in another B6, a BP from another miata or Escort GT or 2L BP from a KIA. Engine swap kits available for rotaries, ford 302's, Chev LT1's. Stuck on having your vtec drop a s2000 engine in or a sr20det they both fit.
