Most old Hondas have rust problems in the rear quaters and it will only get worse unless fixed.

All Japanese cars have rust problems, especially the older ones, if not rust proofed yearly.... The metal is very thin, compared to German cars....

best thing to do if the car is older is to import one from the southern US Staes, such as Florida,Arizona, or Southern Cali.
But then you have to worry about sun damage. :working:

try and find a 5th gen in good condition. I'll tell you from exp too.....get a 5spd, automatic sucks. The clutch on my car is so damn heavy compared to hondas but I don't care....there's times 5spd really pays off.

I would go with the 5th gen Si but the crx is a nicer looking car imo. If you find a crx rust free with no cheese on it then I would go for it but good luck finding one for a decent price and especially in auto, i've only seen 1 auto in my life by an old man in my neighbourhood

CRX but I'm biased.
But you won't find an auto Si, that I can guarantee. So you'll have to settle for a DX.

But either way, watch for the infamous Honda rust.
