88-91 CRX, Cost?
Since I'm a poor broke *** white boy, I can't get the car I wanted. So instead I'm going to get an 88-91 CRX.
I'm wondering how much I should spend. I don't mind the rear quater panel rust as my civic had it, what I don't want is rusty floors so I will be under the car looking for that.
What else should I look for?
I want to spend between $3000-4000 on the car.

when buying any old Honda check the floors and shock towers for rust or holes
For that $$$3-4k u can get a 92-93 hb si
I wouldn't buy a rex, just my opinon
u should be a able to find a REX with a b16 in it for that price
88 crx si - $500-$1000
89 crx si -$1000-$1500
90 crx si -$1500-$2000
91 crx si - $2000- $2500
I wouldn't pay more then that , not worth it
Good Luck , check the trader

Any crx for those prices you will find garbage with corroded floors and rusted to **** frame in scrap yard condition. People don't sell clean rust free crx's for that price unless they're on crack.
G2 don't buy a car with rusted quarters, why would you? It's just a headache and when buying a car look at everything, floors, rocker panels, roof especially around the winshiled, check the hatch for rust, quarter panels if theyre cheesed or welded metal and door stomper. Those are your main areas to check, interior and motors can be easily replaced without spending a chunk of cash.

I said it was just my opinion ...

My Blue Si is right.
For the prices blk93si put you will only get yourself into headaches. Take my word for it. (I have the pics to prove it too)
Same with the 92-93Si H/B, for $3-4k, you'll find a POS car (hey if ya luck out bonus!)
A good CRX (as in not rusted and working motor) will cost you atleast $5,000.
IMO (and I"m sure some people here can agree with me) look for a good body, since the motor can always be swapped.
Be patient in your find and you will be rewarded.
Good body work will cost you a lot more then a swap.
If you wanna see a nice CRX PM robm3. His CRX looks like it just rolled off the lot!

All used cars have their problems till you work them out. I almost had my car worked out then it was wrecked.
I'll get a CRX or Civic hatch(another 5th gen) doesn't matter to me. I just need something to drive for under $5000.
BTW I paid $3200 for my old hatch and it was pretty good minus the rusty quaters.

I love my CRX *as I gently kick it*
any used car has it's ups and downs, no matter what you buy, you can find a CRX for under 5000, but you have to look real hard, the main thing is to have someone look over it before you decide to buy anything...do your homework and trust me, it'll pay off. Good luck.
