Question 5th gen.?? 6th gen.??
Hello,
I am new to the whole car idea. i turned 17 this summer, and bought my first car in July. It is a 92 Civic DX. Now looking through here, I have seen many people tlk about 5th generation and 6th. Well, what is the difference, and what is mine??

5th gen is 92-95

6th gen is 96-00

A lot of things are different between the 2 generations. First, there is the look of it...

But anyway, both are nice cars to work with. I personally like 6th gen hatch the most.

LordM showed me the light and what can be done with OBD2.... I plan on upgrading ... his software was really cool at the meet

haha.... you guys are getting this guy all mixed up. Everyone should know by now that my 6th gen 1998 EJ6 VSM sedan OWN3S all of you, with your EGs and EKs and EFs too. So don't get it twisted... 6th gen sedans, esp the ones 96-98 are the finest Civics ever to come out of a Honda plant. LOL

Nooooooooooo, it's all in the 6th gen COUPES!!!! Especially those produced in 1999-2000!! Not that my opinion is biased or anything...

6th gen sedans are the best but I think bbarbulo has it a bit off, 99-00 civic sedans are the best out of the honda plant

nono.....its only teh 4th gen done up sedans ,that are electron blue, or 6th gen si's that are white and coupes that look all JDM,

anyone saying the 6th gen sedan is the best is far mistaken... did they even get a vtec motor??? they are just heavy, long, and far underpowered versions of the 5th gen Si hatch....


funny how one comment by me at the top started a huge war between everyone on who's series/ style is best....

and while the 5th gens are the best... anyone saying otherwise is just jealous of the 5th gens and sad they dont have but want one...
