is that accurate? do 7th gen civics (no Si or SiR) really get 58 mpg?

i got around 650kms to one tank.
I probably could have went a bit further but didn't want to run out of gas...

But this was straight highway driving...with the exception of about 20 minutes in traffic and side roads.

its also your driving style, if you rip it from a stop sign or light, and shift at higher rpms then your mileage won't be as good.

and of course what type of driving you usually do, more city driving = less kms per tank

My car needs a major tuneup too

yah that was in our paper the montreal gazette a month back, the new civic got over 1000km to a tank! the guy had to take it home after the competition and drive his kids to school, then do laps of the parking lot to make it run dry lol

bottem line, who needs a hybrid

1 mile = 1.609344 km
therefore 330 miles = 531.08352 km

There is really no point to start off fast as far as city driving is concerned.

The only time I pick up speed is on highway passing someone, from 100 to 120 or 130 then back down to 100 again. Crusing in the slow lane is so relaxing, keep a good distance and be worry free.
