Thumbs down 400 Auto Wreckers Salvage Yard customer service.

Hey, I went to 400 Auto Wreckers auto yard in search of a 99-00 Civic SiR spoiler. 1st of all me and my friend got ignored for like the first 5 minutes. Then the guy was excessively rude. He wouldnt even bother to look in the computer or anything, and just simply said "no". Iunno if its cuz i wasnt wearing a plaid jacket or if its cuz i was a "kid" to his old crusty ***. But he simply wouldnt help me and said to go to honda. I basically said "honda discontinued that style, but thanks for your great customer service a$$hole" and just left. Just simply to put it, if your looking for an auto part. I would avoid them. Cuz customer service does go a long way.

Did you know they had it there for sure? Most auto wrecker places like that don't have never honda parts, so he may be asked that question allot and simply knows they don't have any in the yard.

Well that have over 4000 cars. Plus i searched the online inventory. It said they had 6 civic Si's and SiR's. So im sure that at least one of them had the spoiler i was looking for. Plus i simply asked if they had a spoiler off a Civic SiR. didnt specify tht i wanted the high one. I mean if he searched i wouldnt have cared. But he didnt say anything other than "nope, go to honda". They had a smashed 2004ish civic Si sedan with the high-er spoiler but it wasnt exactly what i wanted. It just the fact that he assumed and basically left me with nothing. W/e he lost alot of future sales as i am that friend that does work to alot of my friends cars and if i need cheap parts for my friends. its not gunna be through them. And thanks orthow, ill try them too. And btw, if anyone knows of a place that sells "new" civic SiR spoilers. lemme know cuz i want to get one for my "faux" SiR. Well Si with an SiR lip and spoiler.

^LOL so you gave them a shitty review and then you ended up going back there? Way to stick to your guns...

But as I was going to originally reply:

The wreckers have market cornered and we are left to their mercy when it comes to getting parts. They can treat you like a douche and you WILL come back but hey seem's Matt you already proved that. No point in bitching about some lot jockey that didnt bend over backwards for you. He is making $10/hr do you really think he gives a **** about you or your need for wrecked Honda parts specially stuff like spoilers that are purely for looks?

Case in point..Cookstown Auto Wreckers up here in Barrie area.. up until the recession they were the best for quick cash deals on parts. As soon as the economy goes for a dump they realize that demand has shot up for used parts and they JACKKKED the prices up. I have bought the same parts more then once and had receipts to prove that they had over 50% increases in some cases on parts. I bitched and ended up going to Standard Auto Wreckers since I was basically in a screaming war with the counter help at Coostown. All that being said, I STILL go to Cookstown once a week only now I do things to the parts so that they will drop the pricing down a bit. Also, telling them you were quoted a price on the phone helps to throw off the counter staff haha.
