2010 Civic Brakes help!
Hi. I'm new to these forums. Anyway, I have a problem with my rear brakes. Actually, more like I'm not sure where my rear brakes are. I was changing my tires and it seems as if my rear brakes are missing. I don't know much about cars, so I'm posting photos of my "problem". Any help/suggestions/insight would be helpful.
Thanks for your help. https://drive.google.com/folderview?...DQ&usp=sharing |
Your rear brakes are drum brakes. Google how they work and you'll understand what is going on better here.

Alright thanks. I always thought drum brakes were on "older" cars.
|
really old cars (60 and older) had drums all around, some modern cars especially lighter cars have rear drums.
|
Ahh. I got confused cause when I went on youtube to watch a DIY brake change on the rear brakes of a 2008 civic, they had disc brakes instead of drum brakes.
|
Newer Civics it depends on the trim level. Base models have drum rear.
