2009 Civics are here

The Coupe (newer and better looking rims and a few other upgrades). New tails, new grill and a more CTR-ish looking front bumper.

The Si Sedan (Dont know if the front end is a bit like the new corolla lol). new rims, new rear end, new front bumper and grill. fogs become standard.

Two new models in the sedan lineup...DX_VP and LX_S

Redline organe pearl.....hhhmmmm

gotta find the HFP section too lol. btw..this is from a US brochure...dont know what canadian specs would be.

Discuss.....

I've seen all those shots on the 8thgen board and I do like them. Probably not enough to trade my 07 in for one, but the front does look decent in the photos. I'm curious as to what options and features Canadian Civic's won't get.

I don't think it look's like a Corola at all. They have a similar design, but the Corolla front bulges and curves all over the place. THe Civic flows much better.

LOL! I was gonna say the same thing. I do like the new front end, but like Mike said, I don't think that will be a good enough reason for me to trade in my '07 for an '09.

IMO the new front end looks more and more like a CSX, but w/o the ugly headlights, so it's an improvement. I still wanna see what the back looks like, even though on the 8th forum they were saying that the back looks the same except new tail lights.

even if the 09 is all good looking, it may not make sense financially to trade in a 2 year old car dont you think?

i own a civic and a mazda 3. Mazda 3 is a much nicer car, not only in looks but a much nicer ride. I paid 11 500 for a 2004 mazda 3 with 39 000 km . I looked around for civics but they are nowhere near as nice as the mazda 3 inside or outside, they do not come with many options , they have a lot less power unless you get an SI (which is overprice), the cost more money , the interior looks old.

I got friends with mazda 3 and they have not complains, i have not complains so far.

Having said that, the new gen civics are a real competition to mazda 3 , however the mazda 3 sedan still looks nicer than the civic sedan. Sorry but the new civics sedan have a weird look (exterior look) , unless you get the 2 door which is a very nice car.

However, i like the interior of the new gen civics , finally we get something that looks good.

Overall i would still buy a civic just because they are reliable cars , they do well on gas and there is a lot of aftermarket parts if you want to modify it, however the mazda 3 is a more stylish car with a lot more options and better looks overall ( so you dont have to spend $ in upgrades)

this is what i've got for 11 500 or so( like 13 800 after taxes)

39 000 km
160 horse power
150 torque
fully loaded , incl 17 inch alloy wheels (same as the pic) ,tiptronic , sunroof. Not leather though

This was the civic the i ve found with similar kms , same year and about 11 500 $

i believe it was a dx . And there was an EX but it was going for 12 500 , only difference was the power windows , sunroof (i think) and tachometer

You be the judge ....

for the civic, i think you have the wrong exterior for that interior, or you had the wrong interior for that exterior... the interior pic you have is from 96-98 civic and the exterior is like 01+
