2008 Saturn Astra

The other day I went for a test drive and priced one out. 0% financing for 72 months which is nice. I priced a Astra XR 5 door, with a few extras such as sunroof and heated cloth seats and it came to $28 000 which is $388 a month.

All i can say if I was going to buy a small car this would be the one! Solid car all around and drives so nice and smooth. 1.8L ecotec motor which are solid and has plenty of power for daily driving even with the AC on.

I just cant justify spending 30G on a car.....im used to buying 5 or 6G cars lol

isn't that a redressed vauxhaul?

it looks nice, just not loving the fact that saturn uses gm's standard engines. i loved my sl2 and sw2 with the 1.9 twin cams

Saturn is quickly becoming the only GM line worth considering...

but ya, the Astra (vauxhaul) is pretty good, I test drove one at the autoshow, the only thing I didn't like was teh super small rear window..

The Aura is pretty good also...

Ya thats the only complaint i had about the astra.......the only reason i would get the astra is because its straight from belgium rebadged a saturn. The aura on the other hand is still a north american car

thats not automatically true. i maintain that for value, economy, reliability & longevity, honda cars from the 90s can't be beat. the 4th gen accords were incredible workhorses, the civics are an absolute marvel of reliability. the preludes were also winners. only 3 cars come to mind that come close... 80s mercedes benz diesels, old toyota trucks (the original FJ40s and anything with a 22R in it), and the volkswagen beetle. since the natural question follows would i rather have any of the above over a brand new car... yes i would
