I think that evo's have gotten a lot of much deserved respect. I do think they have a nice aggressive look to them, mean if you will. I couldn't see myself buying one, I was raised on the Honda, and I'll stay with the Honda (use they too go to mexico). I'm a big fan of older generations. I find them easier to work on. I think the new WRX are ugly as a step child that fell outta the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. But the older Gen's are ... just perfect. Grass roots magazine did a great write up on the Evo Vs. STi .
Just of the story: Evo has the power and look, but the STi still has the talent and perforamce. PLus the Evo's gauge placement was terrible.
Buy an old STi and tune it the whole 9 yards.
