2006 civic or accord coupe?
So I'm planning to get a new car. It's a toss up between the 2006 civic coupe or the accord coupe. If I get the civic I'll have more money to spend afterwards for the car. Or get the accord coupe (EX model, non V6). So what is everyones opinion? Price wise, reliabilty, pleasure to drive, insurance and exterior looks. The redesign 2006 accord coupe led tail lights are really nice versus the previous years.

it would be a 2007, i would go with the accord coupe. Ive driven both many times and i enjoy the accord more but its up to you, i would take the accord just because the interest rates would be alot lower on it. Plus i just love the styling and feel of the accord. If youre more into a small car thats fun to take quickly around corners and whatnot, might be better to go with the civic. Best bet is to go to a dealer and test drive both, find out what u like more.

Well I have driven both before and the accord coupe is a much better ride. But I like the exterior styling of the civic coupe more. Plus the accord is going to be replace soon. While the civic has just come out. I'm still undecided on which one. But black on black accord coupe looks really sick!

HANDS DOWN ACCORD.
dont bother getting the brand new accord.
get the 2004 Honda Accord EX V6 6 SPEED.
best bang for the buck and most of them already have the full lipkit, optional rims, lowered on HFP springs, etc....
BLACK FOR SURE.

Better double check on that. If you get the V6 you are only getting auto and I also believe their are transmission issues with it.

My answer is obvious. Plenty of power for me, it handles like it's on rails and I love the looks.
The Accord Coupe is a sweet car, but much bigger and heavier then a Civic. A V6 6 speed would be nice, but at 35g's, quite pricey.

i think they did that thing wit hthe wipers so u have to go to dealer to get new ones. dealers always looking to get the most money out of as they can.
even the back wipers on some hondas have to be special order.
canadian tires and other stores dont carry wipers that small.

if you were comparing the SI coupe with the accord coupe (non-v6), i would be tempted to suggest that go for the SI but between the two you mentioned.....my vote is same as alot of others.
Go with the accord...and dont worry too much about too many aftermarket mods. with a civic...you will always be spending here and there....alot of which is sometimes a waste. even with the accord...I/H/E will give you decent gains.
btw...what is your budget?

I would serious think about the V6 model over the I4. With the Civic you'll do the I/H/E ($$$$) and be almost where where the V6 is in HP and torque stock.
BTW: I just called Cdn tire, NAPA, and my local Honda and those blades are pretty cheap. (I'm on christmas holiday and have nothing but time) .

Civic si coupe vs accord base coupe (4cyl.) I'd take the si.
Civic base coupe vs accord base coupe....I'd take the accord.
Civic si vs accord v6 coupe....I'd take the si still.
But my decisions are mainly performance and fuel mileage oriented.

depends, do you want a bigger car or a 'boy racer' car?
they're both great cars, but slightly different in terms of the market they're made to satisfy...
accord will be slightly more comfort and practicality oriented...
civic not so much..
