2005 Civic DX with 16x7 ASA Rims - 215/50/16 Rubber

Hi guys,

Looking at buying the ASA EM9's (http://www.rimstop.com/wheelpics/asa/em9.jpg) for my Magnesium Civic Coupe. I think it will look great as the wheels will match.

I was planning on getting the 16x7 inch size with the 215/50/16 rubber...

This is where my problem lies... I am not planning on dropping the car at all. Will the 16" wheels make the wheel gap looking like a pickup truck? Am I better off going with the 195/60/15 setup?

Anybody have pics of this setup in stock suspension form?

Thanks!!

My friend has 16" rims on his unlowered EL & he looks like he's rdiving a 4 x 4!! seriously though, the wheel gap is unattractive, imo... i say lower it, but if you can't then i say don't put the rims on cos it would kinda look crappy... but that's my opinion.

Any pics with a civic coupe (unlowered) and 16" rims? Looks like we have differing opinions here

I might go with 15x7 Borbet Type E as well... I am assuming this will help the wheel gap problem...

if it can fit the 45series tires... go for 45 instead of 50... it'll look even better.... but i'm not sure how high is the 05 civics....

Ok... since it sounds like the 16" would be to high ... what about the 195/60/15 that are standard on the Si-G.... it should look good. However, is the Si-G suspension any lower than the DX or the SE?

What do you guys think of this wheel for 15" ?

On this rubber...

this is not a performance question, why is it in the performance forum?

My bad... thought this was the general forum.

Thinking I am just going to go with a stock 195/60/15 - looks like anything else is a pain.

g2 Racer - I need the height to stay stock for various reasons... Looks like I need to go with the 15"s... I don't want to have 16"s and make my civic look like a jeep!
