2000 Sir VS 1998 Integra GSR

another quesiton
i was wondering why the SIR is selling at a higher price than the GSR
just beacuse of the year?
even tho they have the same milage?
a GSR should be better than the SIR
usually a SIR has DC header 4-2-1 and AEM cold-air intake can produce how many HP. same as the GSR...thx for all the replies

GSR can be made better, due to the runners has some airflow probs.

but then again i wouldnt judge out the SIR.
i admit the B16A2 is peppy motor but the SIR is too heavy,
if the car came with a B18 that would be a different story.

as for price wise, it usually depends on the year of the model that affects the price. i was gonna buy a GSR before i bought my SIR, but my SIR was in my price range and plus the 2001 GSR i was looking at had Leather... i dont like leather... HOT in the summer Cold in the WINTER

i own a civic sir 2000 and i only have a short ram intake, i ran a 15.3 in the 1/4 mile i was taking GSRS like sauce at the track and type Rs dont pull to hard on me. I have driven gsr's and really i like my car much better, other then the leather seats but i wouldnt say that its to heavy cuz the civic hb is only like 300lbs lighter than an sir honestly i would rather have a sir any day over a integra gsr no offence to gsr owners... o yea by the way my sir is for sale lol so pm me if anyone is intrested

^^your car is very nice man..

anyway gsr has b18c and leather....the b16 isn t' the greatest motor and the sir is abit on the heavy side...they are close but I'd take the gsr for the better motor platform...gsr with i/h/e vafc adn itr mani and cams with h&r sports and koni yellows exedy race organic and fly combo that's what I woudl do...but yes they both are on the heavy side with the gsr having abit mroe potential with more displacement..it woudl be way easier to find a non stolen and light driven gsr than a sir

wow 15.3 with just a short ram?? is that with a full interior???
man i cant wait to test out my car this summer... but thats cery impressive for stock form

i must say, the debate going on with the SIR/GSR is more of a driver's race.

the ITR was not meant for DRAG racing, that car is tuned more for autocross where they would kill most cars out there. ( i read up, it wasnt much far from a Ferrari. )

but thats autocross.
more displacentmet is always gonna give u the upper hand no matter what, but i love my SIR.

I would take a GSR for two reasons:

1. SiRs are stolen more.
2. B18C1 > B16A2

A 2000 SiR would sell for more than a 1998 GSR coz it's newer, despite the original price difference with a GSR being more expensive. Over those 2 years, the price depreciation would have more than offset the difference.

I'd def say stick with the civic.. they look way better and are not as comman as the integra body style you see EVERYWHERE considering it wasn't changed since 94... the sir's are awsome cars with good engines........... in the end......... go with the one that has cheaper insurance

Is there a major difference in insurance between the two?

I'm having a hard time believing your story. 15.3 with all that .

stock motor with just a intake.

but hey anything is possible

SiR all the way baby!!

GSR vs. SiR is a pretty close race! (i know from experience)

I also personally think the SiR looks wayyy better than the old teg styling.

True the B18 has more power potential than a B16 but i like how the B16 can rev a little higher.

I wish I had the leather GSR interior in my SiR though...

right on brotha....
civics are more usable than integras...civics actually have a trunk. Integras always seemed a little on the 'something missing' side for me
