2000 PRELUDE VS 2001 Celica
#23
GTS is more in preludes terrirotry for speed etc, both of them arnt really fast stock Quick.
Interior is a personal thing, I really love the interior in mine, but its diff for everyone.
Make sure you look into both cars first before you drive. If you don't like little quirks that may bug you, then look at the celica. If you can live with little quirks and love great handling in a stock car that is fun to drive on the streets take a look at the prelude.
Either way decision is up to you, I suggest you go take both for a test drive and think long and hard about it.
I saw your post on TPC, so my best advice is do a search on as much as you can about the car before you decide.

ive driven both, and i must say both are totally different styling and different power....
more torque for the lude hands down... but friggin damn tight for space!
ive driven the GTS - so ill narrow it down, fun to drive, just shifting to much with short gearing! kinda wierd feeling at first!
i almost bought a lude.... i love the styling! long front nose
GO HONDA!

does the celica take premium as well?
the lude takes 91+ take that into account
also do you have any mods line up in the future? stuff for the lude is quite sparse, and when you do find stuff its pricy, so take that into account, there isn't as big an aftermarket for the lude like there is the civic.

but anyways..
dont u guys agree for a 2000 lude the interior looks lke ***??? like i cant get over it..looks as pathetic as my 1997 ek..
when i look at the celi interior..its much more modern and up with the times..
just my 2 cents

unless you're giving us rides everyday around the town... otherwise, no one will know how modern your interior is.... so maybe you better stick the criteria "the car must look good to me"... but then if that's the case, then you already have an answer for yourself, right? your answer is celica, so you have no need to ask us... get what you find best looking to "yourself", after all, you're the one driving... =)
case solved!

I've never sitten in a Prelude, but I loved the way you sat in the Celica. It was nice and low like a sports car and the stock sport seats were quite comfortable. You sort of got that 'cockpit' like feeling that no Civic can really give you.

As with everthing you mod, all changes will affect other parts.

Prelude Vs Celica...
They are both nice cars but i wouldn't get neither. A lot of people say that the celica is a chicks car but even so it's still a nice car but not worth spending that much money for what you're getting. The prelude isn't worth it either, i've heard that they're a lot of trouble, motor wise, also high compression motors requires higher octane. Plus it can be high on insurance too. If you plan on spending 15gz, i'd say invest in maybe an RSX, if you can find one for under 15gz...
