1997 civic si

i have a 1997 civic si manual, and im looking to change the clutch and flywheel....my car is All stock and not planing on modifying the power level...


any recommendation of an aftermarket clutch and flywheel combo???

what do you guys think of excedy clutch ???

i got the same setup. also bought it of ebay. didnt really notice the flywheel but overall for stock use its awsome. very nice grip, would recomend.

You get what you pay for, just get the stage 1 kit its pretty much OEM for a better deal. (exedy, defcon, or bully)

Exeddy stage1 is all you need....there good untill 200hp.
I would save money and not purchase the flywheel if you do not plan on upgrading power.....Unless something is wrong with your flywheel then go for it. Otherwise pointless and waste of money.

apparently my flywheel has hotspots, so i would imagine it needs to be changed....

Or take it to a machinest and get it resurfaced for dick all.

resurfaced will cost ~$60 if the cost is less then that without the flywheel then go that route.

Also I had an xtd, it sucked. centre force dual friction (made by exeddy) now way better.

would you guy's recommend a lightned flywheel over a stock one??? its like 20$ extra for a stock clutch and a fidanza flywheel...go that route?

No offense but you just finished telling us your keeping your ride stock???
Why would you even waste your money on a lightned flywheel???
Your stock one is perfectly fine....Putting a lighter flywheel on a stock engine will loose you hp.....which is probaly not a good thing for you. Just thought you should no.
