It will probably depend on the tire size. If it's just for cruizing around, I think 38 - 39 would be typical. That's what I put in my 17's w/ 205/40 tires.

I am running 215/35/19's. The current tire pressure is 33psi, however it doesn't seem like enough pressure. It doesn't say on the tire the recommended pressure anywhere and since the mags and tires are brand new i don't want to ruin them.

the best thing you can do is the following...
first go buy, borrow, or whatever a infrared pyrometer.. (basically a laser type thermometer)
once you have this tool you do the following... cool your tires, fill them to equal PSI and make sure the tires are cold...
now make a chart stating PSI vs. temperature make 3 colums for temp x 4 for each corner....
then take your car for a good BOOOT... drive it hard and warm up your tires significantly ( and empty parking lot is good for this. don't pull ebrakes and stuff.. just drive your car aggressivly... take turns and what not avoid spinning tires... (make sure you have the owners of the parking lots permission!!!!)
now take the pyrometer and point it at the center of the tread... note the tread temp on a piece of paper then point on left of the center (near sidewall) then right of center. more tehn likely your temps will vary a little. so here is what you do
if temps are higher in the center and both sides are lower then take air out of the tire and start over.
if temps are equally higher on the outside then the center you add more air.
if temps get lower or higher as you measure from one side of the tire to the other your probobly need to adjust camber EG: in, center, out temps get Colder as you go outward, you shoudl probobly adjust your camber it's too negative..

hope this helps

or one other much easier, cheaper but way less acurate! go get some tire chalk ( 3$ at crappy T by the fix a flat stuff) draw like 4-5 lines vertically on oyou sidewall all the way onto the tread and take the car around some corners, if you are chewing up the chalk line on the sidewall add air... you start low, then keep adding till you are happy with how much chalk is rubbed off...

Call up Wheel and Tire Zone or some wheel and rim specialist and ask them
