overall diametre of the wheel damn near the same as a 195/55/15!

215/35/18 = 23.3"
195/55/15 = 24"

only difference is width, donno what a stock SIR width is, but i'd think 15x6 if not 15x7, so assume 18x7 = 1" wider.

so if there is a gap of 2" stock and you take up .7" with the 18's, why wouldn't it fit? hell, you could still lower it 1.3" right? obviously there is just one hell of alot less sidewall with the 35 series tires as opposed to 55 series. hell even my 40 series 17's dosen't have alot of rubber sidewall there.

just good luck hitting one of the many potholes in our fine city streets.

unless your car is going from trailer to the show, putting 18" wheels on a civic is stupid imo.
totally agree with you... suppose it fits perfectly... everything is cool!!

try going on a little ramp, speed bump, potholes... then post pics again... let see if our hypothesis is right or wrong

WELL PEOPLE GOING BACK TO MY ORIGINAL POST, I INSTALLED THE 18 INCH RIMS WITH 215/35/ZR18 RUBBER AND THEY LOOK SIC ON THE STOCK HATCH lowered it 2.5 inches no rub no nuthing been driving for 2 days not trouble what so ever and for the cops their still a little space between the wells and the rubber, without the car looking funny or too high, LOOKS SICK, and since the rims i got are 15 pounds a piece my cars not struggling to go up hills or feel heavy. SO WOULD I ADVISE IT.....HMMMMMMMMM HELL YEA goes good even with the clean simple look .... THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT GUYS MUCH APPRECIATED

nice, as pointed out just watch the big pot holes though, not alot of rubber to absorb them now. post some pics if you can

also what kind are they that the rim is only 15lbs, thats damn light for a 18", my konig heliums are 16.8lbs for a 17". add on 20lbs for the tire and its not much more then stock on either the 17 or 18's, nice choice going with lightweight

I'm surprised it actually fit. I tried 215 on my EK and it was rubbing like crazy in th rears on my fender lining. Literally every bump resulted in rubbing. Thats w/ 1.75 drop in front and 1.5 in back. 35 Series will be too thin and will do bad damage to the rim. 40 series is already quite thin in my opinion, already F$##ed some up so I should know. Well Good luck w/ that

Man thats pretty lightweight. 18's are a little big but as long as there not too heavy your good. Some 18's weigh a ton and slow you right down.
