01-05 Civic 1/4 Mile - What do they run?

Hey. I'm new to the board. I tried googling this with no luck. So i was hoping somebody who knows could tell me; what do stock 01-05 Civic Sis usually put down (E/T) in the 1/4 mile if driven to the max. the reason I am wondering is because I'm looking into getting a Civic and i want to compare it's 1/4 mile time to my current car to figure out how fast (or slow) these cars are.

thanks in advance

I figure the SiR version will be quicker with the K series.

The D17A2 found in the Si is junk for mods imo.

get the 07 plus si, 190 hp 15sec 1/4 stock could be 14.9 aswell with intake. 07 si vs 07 maxima the si won from dig to 80km both had intake.

yeah D17's are not great for mods at all. Their quarter mile times vary around the mid to low 16's for 5 spds and what 17+ for autos?? lol.

Mid to high 16's minimum. There are no decent modes for the D17. 127 hp is hardly enough for a car that weighs around 2500lbs. As mentioned above, they were made for economy, not performance. Personally, I'd try to find a decent 99-00 SiR or Integra GSR over an 01-05 Civic. I had an 03 by the way.

I wouldn't rule out the 01-05 civic unless it's an SiR version. I know in 05 Canada didn't get the SiR (honda.ca still had them listed), but with the exchange rate now just import one for the USA.

The new (07+) Si's aren't much quicker than the 99-00 SiR's. You'd have to use sticky tires and some decent bolt-ons to dip into the 14's with an 07+ Si.

The 01-05 SiR's are not that spectacular either, sporting the base model RSX engine. Not as quick as the 99-00 SiR I don't think. Still much better than a 01-05 Si though.

My 00 SiR ran a 15.6, when it was bone stock. Haven't yet run it with the mods I have now.

^^^ thats a 7 year old civic, with less hp and it did 15.6 stock, the new si is much faster remember i said it could do 15 stock and 14.9 with intake.

15.1 2007 si

http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../FREE/60419006 14.9 2006 si

so just buy a 2006 si instead of a 02-05.

maximas are 14.9 stock so when the 07 si with intake beat it i estimated it would be around 14.9 and i was bang on.lol lucky, but seems the 2006 si is faster from factory then the 07 si.

37 less hp and 400lbs lighter. Power isn't everything dude, and age doesn't have too much to do with it if the car is in excellent mechanical condition. 7 years on a Honda is not much.

I'm surprised, those guys ran really good times with an 07 Si. Sportcompact car magazine ran mid 15's on a stock 07 Si.

I have yet to run either of mine, but they don't feel that much faster then any 99-00 SIR I have ever driven. I would imagine that they would run rings around an older one on a road course or auto X course though.

If the O/P is asking questons about the 7th Gen Civics, then suggesting a brand new one is pointless anyway. My 03 was a decent driving car. It was great on gas and mechanically perfect. A great daily driver.

01 -05 civic are not that good in 1/4 mile at all unless you have K swap. My car run 17 to 18 when I tried it w/ the full exhaust, headers, stock seat. suspension. bone stock motor..

16 in the 1/4 for a 99-00 SiR is pretty sad. Guy must have been a granny shifter...

I ran a 15.9 with a 230lb passenger...
