*** Niagara Falls Cruise & BBQ *** complete details inside

On Sunday, June 30th, 2002 the TCC will be hosting our first annual Niagara Falls Run and BBQ.

Sponsored by: Shinzo Werks, Sport Compact National, Kustom Sport Racing Development, and Speedtech Auto.

Pre-Meet:

To make it easier for everyone, we are going to co-ordinate 2 separate pre-meets for this event. One for the east-end and one for the west-end.

East-End 9:00 am Timmies @ Kennedy Commons (on Progress Ave. just south of Kennedy Rd. and 401) - Scarborough (this is our weekly meet location)

Map:

West-End 10:00 am Home Depot @ 401 & Winston Churchill (on Argentia, just south of the 401) - Mississauga

Map:

You are free to attend whichever pre-meet is more convenient for you. OverKill_SI and SiRJ will be heading the West-end pre-meet. Cantonagod, Tmak, and WNT_2_GO_Fast will be heading the East-end premeet. Your $10 per person fee will be collected. For the people who made a deposit or prepaid, it's much appreciated. Made things alot easier for us to organize.

Please be on time, we are not going to wait very long for late comers, please try and be there 15 minutes earlier.
The East-end crew will depart at approx. 9:25am, we'll be taking 401 west bound straight to Winston Churchill to meet up with the West-end crew. Hopefully we'll get there before 10:00am

Once the 2 crews have merged at the Home Depot parking lot, we'll give final instructions, repeat rules, and answer any questions. Each driver will receive a copy of the exact route we'll be taking.
At roughly 10:15am we'll leave for Niagara..

Cruise:

The Cruise section of this event will be led by Mike (aka OverKill_SI). Nobody is to pass Mike during the cruise until the "green light" has been given. We will be cruisng at 110km/h. You are also reminded to bring your FRS radio if you have one, as this will be your only means of communication with the group.

We'll most likely be making one pit stop along the way, to allow for some of our "high performance' engines to cool down , and will also give us a chance to take group photos and shiz like that.

*Admin staff members will all be equipped with FRS's, and will be scattered throughout the convoy to ensure nobody gets lost. If you get lost or fall behind at any point of the drive, you will have a copy of the directions to the park so no worries.

BBQ:

We'll have lots of food and drink, probably more than we'll need so make sure you bring your appetites. There will be a friendly game of touch football, but you are free to bring your own games if you wish.

Throughout the day we'll be giving out prizes courtesy of our event sponsors: Shinzo Werks, Sport Compact National, Kustom Sport Racing Development, and Speedtech Auto.

Prizes/Giveaways:

TCC Windshield Banners, TCC stickers courtesy Shinzo Werks
SCN Magazines courtesy Sport Compact National
5 Free gift certificates for oil and filter changes courtesy Kustom Sport Racing Development
Surprise gift packs courtesy Speedtech Auto (you will have to come to find out what these are)

The admin staff will also be unveiling our new Toronto Civic Club T-shirts.

Remember the rules:

Rule 1: Civics ONLY folks. Any non civic driver may attend but MUST ride along in a Civic. Sorry to the non Civic drivers but this was agreed upon by the entire admin staff.

Rule 2: Absolutely NO horseplay in the vehicles during the cruise part until myself or one of the other admin staff give the all clear. Down in N/F (for those that don't know) chi-low (police) are all over the place and move like lightning.

Rule 3: Absolutely NO drug or alcohol on the cruise and at the park. If you are found to posses either you will be severely beaten by Cantona and OverKill_SI. NO exceptions to this rule. We are representing the club, not your high school prom.

This will be a fun event, probably the biggest we've had. If people could bring extra ice and coolers that would be great. We can't have too much ice. Peopel with digi-cams: please bring them.

Updates to this thread will be made over the next week, so look for small changes to be made.

Yeah it would be much easier if you could prepay your $10 per person event fee at this wednesday's meet, or put a $5 deposit at the very least. Look for Rich (WNT_2_GO_Fast) or Jeff(either SiRJ or Cantonagod).

Dude who told you it was on the 29th? When we were discussing it we said it could have been the 28, 29, or 30 of June.... And we decided on the 30th quite a while ago, a few weeks ago actually... there's an 80+ post thread in the announcements forum indicating the official date....
