tire saving question

tire saving question
Hi guys just want your input on this...
I'm trying to save my current tires as much as possible. I have 2 winter tires up front and 2 all seasons at the rear of my civic. (this is how the tires were set up when i bought it used in the winter)
since its summer, would it make sense if i move the all seasons in front and the winters at the rear? or should i just leave it alone cause it wouldn't matter anyway?
***I just finished school, unemployed and in so much dept. I couldn't afford tires right now.

please stay away from me when it comes to winter or even for that matter, in general, if you're too poor to afford $200 tires, I'm afraid of other corners you may have cut, such as braking components or suspension components.

I think the point he is trying to get across is that he's not willing to spend money on tires, if your broke what your trying to do is save money not spend it. If the tires aren't bald then they won't kill you.

save money on less important things like fast food, smokes, beer etc...well maybe not beer...but tires are important...save now on burning through your winters in the summer to buy a new set in november...its counter productive really

thanks for the replies.
you have to understand that not everyone here is as wealthy as you. tires are still in good condition, car is stock and in good running condition.
thank you. I'd rather spend the money on repaying school dept right now.
Its a fair deal.

me wealthy? i just don't blow my money on other things, i save them.
and to mess around with something that can cost you your life and you're willing to gamble on them. even if i were in debt or not, i'd throw it on the visa.

I still dont recommend running super soft winter tires in the summer...you will wear them out (need to buy a new set come winter) and they provide less traction/grip in hot/warm weather than an all season tire in same conditions...I would even recommend buying 2 used tires (70bucks) from most shops to do the deed for the summer months and spare you the expense of buying new winters
oh and its debt not dept

Winter tires will wear faster than all season, and if they're anything like WS50 from Bridgestone, the best grip is gone after the tires are 25% worn. You'll save money by only using them in the winter. But, in the short-term, you'll not have to buy 2 others.
Put the winter's in the back. If your car is front wheel drive, you'll be wearing them way too fast if they're on the front.
I HIGHLY recommend 4 winter tires during winter. Front's for traction/braking and rear's for keeping you on the road while you turn

The new rule of thumb is best to back no matter what season or what you have on the car. In a panic stop the rears will lock first and you will fishtale. Your winters will be bold in a month so get four new tires not just two.
