Well did a brake job on my 00 civic sir a few weeks ago. Done brakes a million times so it was a breeze! Anyways I was working on the back end and noticed some rust on the new left rear rotor (inside). So I took the caliper off and did an inspection and found that the inner pad was only making contact with half the surface.When I checked the other side I found it doing the same thing , not nearly as bad maybe not making contact with less then 25% of the pad . Everything is sitting properly, the pins moves easily and the calipers "seem" to operating well.
Anyone else have something like this or similar happen?

You don't have the slot in the caliper piston lined up with the pins on the pads. Seen it a million times.
