EG rear disc conversion
 
okay guys, I did the brake swap from a teg to my eg. I replaced the entire trailing arm and the ebrake cable (all rear). Now the brake paddle is very soft and the car barely stops so I wanted to replace the master cylinder and prop valves. Which ones do I need exactly that just drop in? I heard any master cylinder from 90-00 integra NON abs would just bolt up (mind is non abs) same as prop valve, is it true? or do I need civic ones? The problem is its very difficult to find civic master cylinder from a car that had disc brakes all around. Any help would be great. thx

I actually did a little more research guys and this is what came up

1) the integra master cylinder (94-00) will bolt up to my booster

2)i can get an integra 90-93 40/40 prop valve and it will work just fine

Would someone plz verify this? and how important is it to change the booster too? I dont see the point of upgrading the booster at all, but someone can correct me here, thx

make sure you have bleed the brakes properly ..
even after changing all those parts your pedal will still feel very low and spongy

ya, my pedal is really ****ty right now, thats why I wanna change the parts. But is it that much difference in replacing the booster too? most people say its not gone make a difference with the teg booster

i'm picking up a rear set up from a 95' GS-R do i need the lower control arms and e brake cables too? or just the trailing arms.......if anyone knows exactly what i need pls let me know

it won't make a really HUUUGGEE difference, if your pedal feels really really soft it's cuz you either have a leak (lines, calipers, master cyl) or you haven't bled the brakes properly. but there are two diff't types of master cyls, ones that the bolts slant one way and ones that the bolts are flat. if the one you're putting on is the same as the one you're taking off, it'll fit. just make sure of the size of the fittings as well before you buy. the only time you have to change the booster is if the MC you're putting on has holes that are different than the booster you already have in the car. the prop valve is a must though if you wanna get the most out of the upgrade.

if the line fittings are different sizes you can re-flare them with an automotive flare tool.
