Hi there,


Can anyone recommend performance/mid-range brake pads for my 07 LX.

I am upgrading to cross-drilled/slotted front rotors.

What rotors are you getting? Just beware, some cross-drilled rotors are made of cheaper/lower-grade materials and can crack/rust quicker (because of the extra surface area exposure of the holes) and actually provide less braking power then some high quality standard rotots.

Cross drilled rotors, imo, are over-rated and not necessary for higher performance stopping power. I won't get into the reason why right now, but bottom line, eitherway, make sure you buy a high quality rotor.

As for pads, I've heard the kvr carbon fiber pads are pretty good. Can't really say much cause I've always used oem pads and have had great sucess/performance with them.

May I recommend the Ate grooved rotors that they sell at crapy tire... Have them on my civic and WOW. Send you through the windshield performance! lol They come with a warrentee (have to check how long, but it's quite significant) and they are guarenteed to NOT warp. They also do not rust. Very impressive and I highly recommend them.
