Brake pad replacement need some input
My situation:
I am looking to just replace my front brake pads just to get me by this winter. I will be upgrading the rotor and brake pads again in the summer.
What should I go for right now just to "get me by"
$22.99 economy brake pad - compound is semi metallic (i am leaning towards these but i dont know much about the semi metalic compound) will this brake last during the winter? will this brake handle hard stops ? lol I am running stock rotors
$39.99 ceramic brands: Nascar and sylbestest not sure on the spelling for this one)
Question:
Is it worth spending the extra 15 to 20 dollars and get a ceramic pad?

Do the job and do it once. Get ceramic's and be glad u did. Like loco rides said....semi-metallic's tend to get noisy. Ceramics are the way to go. Wagner thermo-quiet ceramic pads are a good choice and not too pricey.
Why do you need it to just get u through the winter? Performance brakes in the spring?
